Connie Francis Impersonator
Gail Hawk is a professional entertainer who has a great appreciation for the music of Connie Francis. Gail truly believes that Connie Francis has the most unique voice of all the female artists from the 50’s and 60’s era. Connie Francis was Gail’s mother’s favourite artist, she used to play her records at home when Gail was growing up in England.
Gail’s style and energy bring a true likeness to Connie’s performances, but Gail does not claim to sound the same as Connie. She does try to emulate the same singing style and bring the spirit of the late 50’s era to the audience through the music.
Gail is a trained vocalist, she enjoyed extensive voice lessons by a private opera teacher recommended to her by an entertainment agency during the 1980’s.
Gail’s renditions of Who’s Sorry Now, Where the Boys are, and La Paloma performed in Spanish are among Gail’s favourite renditions.
Her performance schedule can be found on the website, www.cheecktocheek.ca, showcasing the musical, variety show duo Cheek to Cheek with her husband, and all star cast called Tribute To The Stars with Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley and Anne Murray.
Thank you Ronnie & Marie – The participants were still talking and laughing about the great time that they had last night! We really did enjoy the show! Looking forward to future engagements. Our event was about empowering people with disabilities, and your show greatly contributed to healing in more ways that we are aware of I am sure! Iconic Tributes was awesome! We appreciated that they were comfortable moving through the crowd, very engaging and interactive with the audience! Everyone truly loved them! We would not have any hesitation recommending Iconic Tributes to other event organizers!
